Good morning.

A message from:
Miranda Jordan and Kaci Stovall
Douglasville Region Co-Coordinators
Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year! My name is Miranda Jordan, and - along with co-coordinator Kaci Stovall - we are once again asking for your assistance with the Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition. This year, Douglasville hosts the region level competition on January 31 at the Douglas County Courthouse. We are looking for judges, attorneys, and third year law students to serve as presiding judges and evaluators, and we are also looking for a few volunteers who don’t have to be attorneys as well! Breakfast and lunch will be provided. This is a really meaningful way to give back within the legal world! No prior experience necessary! (Exciting news: this year's case is a criminal trial for murder!)

When volunteering, please keep in mind that we require a certain number of volunteers to make the day go smoothly and to comply with State rules for scoring, so if you volunteer and then something comes up where you can’t make it, we ask that you find someone to take your place. Unfortunately we have had folks in the past no-show, and that puts us in a bind.

Please register here to volunteer! And please share this with others who may have inadvertently been missed on this email.

Also, please just feel free to reach out with any questions or assistance with signing up via the link!

Kind regards,
Nadege Lila DeMaitre
GAWL Executive Director
