Cloud Computing Lecture Series

Hi everyone,
Welcome back to the Gator Linux Users Group. We will be having our classes for this semester on Wednesdays from 6-7 PM in NEB589. We will be starting the Cloud Computing Lecture Series from next wednesday. Our next class will be "GFS (Google File System) Distributed File System" on Wednesday, April 11.

The topics that are included for this lecture series are:

1. Part I: GFS (Google File System) Distributed File System.
2. Part II: Distributed Computing using MapReduce.

Followed by: building scalable web apps using Google's cloud platform, "The Google App Engine".

1. Part III: Google App Engine - 1.
2. Part IV: Google App Engine - 2.

If you can, bring your laptops loaded with your favorite Linux distro :).

Hi Krishna,

We are planning to have Part 1 on April 11 and Part 2 on April 18 th. Pat 3 and Part 4 will be after your exams in May. Most probably on May 9 th and May 16 th.
