Backseat co-Driver Ver.3.5 Released

Version 3.5 of the new app, Backseat co-Driver, has been released.

Changes in Version 3.5
Adjusted the speed voice announcement processing
Reduced repeated voice announcements
Added support for switching between kph and mph
Improved stability when using Android Auto
Fixed an issue where traffic sign tags located more than 100 meters away from the current position were read aloud regardless of the sign’s direction
Improvements included in all versions from 2.7 to 3.5
Added safety measures to help prevent the app from crashing
Added additional safety measures to prevent crashes while using Android Auto
Added protections to prevent Android Auto tasks from becoming “zombie” processes when the app is closed from the smartphone
Added a permission dialog requesting authorization for background operation

The app is currently in the closed testing phase, so only members of this group can install it from Google Play.

・Android Autoでアプリがクラッシュすることを防ぐ安全化対策
・スマートフォンの操作でアプリを終了した際にAndroid Autoで実行中のタスクがゾンビ化しないための安全化対策
・アプリがバックグラウンド動作するための権限を得るための許可を求めるダイヤログの追加

現在はクローズドテストフェーズなので、このグループの参加者だけがアプリをGoogle Playからインストールすることが可能です。
