Gateway JUG Members and Supporters:

You won't want to miss tomorrow night's Gateway JUG meeting! This March
6th, 2012 meeting will truly be one of our most special events.

Ray Ploski, Director of Middleware Developer Programs and Strategy for JBoss
at Redhat, is coming down from Chicago to give us a presentation on some
business rule processing projects at JBoss.

You have probably heard about Drools, a longtime, very popular open source
business rules API. Drools 5 introduces a Business Logic integration
Platform. This platform provides a unified and integrated platform for
Rules, Workflow and Event Processing. Even if you worked with Drools before,
it's now been designed from the ground up so that "each aspect is a first
class citizen, with no compromises."

Ray is also going to discuss the JBoss Developer Studio, jBPM, and the
JBoss/Redhat Business Rules Management System (BRMS). He'll also provide us
a great view into what's been cooking at JBoss.

For more details see www.gatewayjug.org.

There's only one problem however ...

It's very hard for us to estimate how many people might attend this meeting.
So it's very important you send your RSVP so we can plan accordingly. To
give you an added incentive to RSVP, we're making this special offer:

Anyone who sends an RSVP and attends tomorrow night's meeting will receive
an extra door prize ticket to be used in our JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA v11
Ultimate Personal License giveaway. This doubles your chances to win the
$199 door prize. If you're an Eclipse user 'cause it's free, you'll want to
check out what IDEA has to offer:
http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/whatsnew/index.html?fromIndex

To RSVP, please visit http://www.meetup.com/GatewayJUG and register to
attend.

But wait ... there's even more incentive to RSVP ...

If we have 45 or more attendees, and at least 80% of the attendees sent an
RSVP, we will hold a 2nd grand prize drawing for a new Amazon Kindle Fire
eBook reader! (Here's a link that includes my affiliate tag:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0051VVOB2/ref=cm_sw_su_dp?tag=froschenterprise )

Only those who RSVP'ed will be eligible for this drawing. You're eligible
even if you win another prize tomorrow night! (Sponsors and Gateway JUG
staff are not to be included in the attendance tally and are not eligible
for the Kindle Fire door prize drawing.)

So invite a few friends, and all of you be sure to RSVP! Help us give Ray
Ploski a wonderfully warm, Gateway JUG welcome ... and you may go home a
winner of IDEA and a new Kindle Fire.

Remember, to RSVP, please visit http://www.meetup.com/GatewayJUG.

PS. BTW, one of the Gateway JUG's biggest events coincidentally also
concerned JBoss. You long-time Gateway JUG members may remember, way back in
2000, we flew Marc Fleury, creator of JBoss, into town to talk about JBoss.
The RSVPs were so great in number, we had to book a ballroom at the Marriott
West hotel to accommodate the more than 110 attendees.
