Nov 6 GatewayJUG and Groovy/Grails User Group meetings cancelled!

We had several regularly attending members indicate they will not make it to our November 6th Gateway JUG meeting because of the election. Some said they vote after work, so would not make it. Others said they just wanted to stay home and follow the returns. A few said they have campaign victory parties to attend.

Also, it was pointed out to me that next week is one of those slightly rare calendar flukes where the 1st Tuesday of the month is in the same week as the 2nd Thursday. The St. Louis Java User Group (the other Java group in town) meets on the 2nd Thursday.  (This month they're having a presentation on Play 2.0)

We took a Survey Monkey poll asking whether the meeting should be canceled in favor of the elections. The result: 75% of the respondents asked that we cancel the November 6th meeting and push the "Twitter Bootstrap" topic to December. So that's what we're going to do.

There will be no Gateway JUG or Gateway Groovy User's Group meeting on November 6th.

(The Gateway JUG Advisor's meeting is also canceled and will be rescheduled for later in November.)
