Three Hours Until Home Group

Hey All,

Just a casual reminder that home group will be meeting in a few hours. 7pm at Benson and Audrey’s home.  

And no, I didn’t ‘forget’ to send out the reminder.  I’m just creating suspense! Benson is leading on Holy Spirit (pretty broad, might as well say we’re talking about God).

Dear Friends,

 

I greatly appreciate your support of our hospitality effort at Coast this month. You are Heavenly Hosts because you are willing and available to be at church earlier to greet and invite people to join our community to worship God,  hear His word, show new people what we have on campus, and pray for the ones who need it. So we, whoever is still in town, are hosting tomorrow, the Christmas Eve service, and the last Sunday in December. 

 

As we have talked, if you could come 15-20 minutes before the service starts (whether you come first or second service), it would be wonderful. The task is simple - be who you are and be available to make people feel welcome; answer any questions, show them around. I usually stand around the Welcome stand by the doors as people come in, or go to the new people and greet them if they are already in the auditorium sitting by themselves. :-) That's typically how it works on Sundays.

 

I will learn more tomorrow about the logistics of the Christmas Eve service, and share it with you all. Everything will be great, because Jesus is Awesome. So help us God. It is a blessing to serve with you. Thank you for your friendship and support. I see you tomorrow.

Dear All,

 

Thank you very much for your spirit and willing hearts. Tomorrow Christmas Eve service starts at 5 pm. If you (who is in town) are able to arrive by 4:40 pm, it would be wonderful. We need to be in place (by the entrance) ready to greet/welcome people at 4:45. Similar to what we have been doing on Sundays - greeting, engaging people in conversation, explain and show what we have on campus, get to know people, and stay open to what Jesus is doing. If you receive a word or picture, please share with people, encourage them. It is the time to bless people and help them to experience a living God in a real way. We all  have got so many different gifts, and they are given to us to give away, to bless people around us. I am blessed to know you and serve with you. Thank you.

 

Kids and Youth are together with parents during the service.  Kids will receive a bag  with crayons and some other activities when they come in, so they will be engaged during the service. So tomorrow, NO Kids-church, NO Youth group meeting - Everyone is together. Everyone is welcome to join us in celebration.

 

We have a candle-light service at the end. It will take place outside on the lawn. So on the way-out from auditorium we might need to help to pass out the candles to people. I will confirm it tomorrow and let you know.

 

Again, thank you very much for everything. As Michelle shared on Sunday - God is passionate about people and we love together with Him. May God help us, guides us always, and gives us His wisdom. I see you tomorrow.
