Dear Friends,
Hope all is well. I would like to thank everyone for your willing hearts and spirit to help with our hospitality effort at church this month. As we've talked at our homegroup, whenever service you plan to attend, please come 15-20 minutes earlier and be available standing around the front doors/gates to assist visitors with any questions (location of the facilities on campus and our ministries). Show them (walk with them to the location and talk story) where we have kids church and youth ministry. Both ministries take place only during the first service. Everyone who is with the youth group joins worship and then they go to the library for their studies. Again, it happens only during the first service. Show them where we have a special room for Mothers who needs to feed their babies. There's a live feed on the computer there, so
they won't miss anything.
If you see someone new, usually sitting by themselves at church, early enough before the worship starts, please, approach them and get to know them and introduce who we are. ( a few tips - ask them where they are from, how they've learned about us, whether they know about the Vineyard, and perhaps, explain what to expect during the service if they are not familiar with the Vineyard). We also have information in our Welcome stand up in front about the Vineyard church, and our Coast ministries and homegroups. We can share this information with them.
Regardless, whether people come to our church for the first time, or our regular members, we, as the Hosts, make everyone feel welcome and invite them to join us for worship, learning the word, ministry time, and have coffee/tea/water/snack with us. When we talk to knew people, it would be great to talk to them during the break, introduce them to our regular members, our friends, if meeting them before the service start; and if we see them after the service, say Good-bye to them and invite them to come back and join a homegroup. Everyone is welcome at God's table at all times. If you feel led, you can invite new people to join you for lunch after church - good opportunity to get to know them better. Certainly, if they are open and available to receive the invitation. We need to be tuned to what God is doing and where he is leading us. Thank
you very much.
I am grateful and very excited to see what Jesus is going to do through us, and with us, and our church community, and in our neighborhood, only because we are open, available, willing, and.... unable. But God is able! So help us God! Thank you, guys. Please if you have any questions, I will be around during both services. And also David and Rebecca, and Steve and Tara are supergreat and can answer questions. Thank you.
Have a nice weekend. See you tomorrow. All my love and prayers.
Peace,
Anna
