Ebbene siamo finalmente arrivati alla fine del Vecchio Mondo, e siamo ancora qui!
La scorsa edizione di MITOS, il Meeting Italiano di TeatrO Sociale, ci siamo interrogati su come attraverso il Teatro Sociale potevamo prepararci all'imminente fine del mondo (“It's the end of the world as we know it, and i feel...” -“È la fine del mondo come lo conosciamo, e io mi sento…”), prevista dai Maya il 21 dicembre 2012, cioè oggi.
Sulla scia degli incontri e del lavoro svolto nella passata edizione e in quelle precedenti noi “Empatheatre, la Compagnia dei Salvastorie”, organizzatori del meeting, abbiamo scelto questo tema per l’edizione di quest’anno: “Wake Up, Dead Man!”, “Svegliati, Uomo!”.
Che ruolo possono avere le discipline del Teatro Sociale, che ogni estate si incontrano a Lucca, nello stimolare questa sveglia, questa resurrezione di uomini e donne nella Società di un Mondo Nuovo, che cambia, nasce oggi e si affranca da quello vecchio?

Mitos 2013 si svolgerà nei giorni 29, 30, 31 agosto e 1 settembre 2013, come sempre nel centro storico di Lucca, in Toscana, per lo più nei locali del Complesso di San Micheletto, in Via San Micheletto 1.
L’organizzazione del programma seguirà la falsariga dello scorso anno (si veda lo schema orario allegato), con 4 laboratori della durata complessiva di circa 10 ore (Laboratori A, B, C, D), 4 laboratori “spot” di circa 4 ore (Laboratori E, F, G, H), una sessione plenaria iniziale ed una conclusiva (partecipazione ad iscrizione), oltre a 3 spettacoli serali, gratuiti, per la cittadinanza.
IL BANDO
Quest'anno abbiamo deciso di ampliare il bando: oltre alla selezione per laboratori (sezione A) e spettacoli di Teatro Sociale (sezione B), come lo scorso anno, vogliamo sconfinare nel mondo del disegno e della grafica, cercando nuove idee per una evoluzione del logo di Mitos (sezione C).
Sarà previsto un rimborso spese per i docenti di € 150 complessivi lordi per la conduzione di un laboratorio di 10 ore, € 70 complessivi lordi per la conduzione di un’assemblea-laboratorio plenaria o di un laboratorio di 4 ore.
Per gli spettacoli teatrali il rimborso dovrà essere trattato caso per caso, in base anche alle esigenze dello spettacolo stesso.
Come sempre i rimborsi per i docenti e le compagnie, così come i costi di iscrizione per i partecipanti, sono più bassi della media, nell’ottica di favorire l’incontro e lo scambio.
Al vincitore/vincitrice della selezione per il nuovo logo di Mitos regaleremo la partecipazione gratuita a Mitos 2013 per due persone, e due magliette di Mitos 2013 con il logo da lui/lei disegnato. Il logo sarà adottato per l'edizione 2013 di Mitos e pubblicato su tutti i documenti e manifesti pubblicitari del Meeting, e possibilmente anche per le edizioni future.
Empatheatre, la Compagnia dei Salvastorie, in quanto Associazione organizzatrice, si riserva il giudizio insindacabile sulla scelta dei conduttori dei laboratori, degli spettacoli selezionati, e del logo vincitore.
Verranno forniti per i laboratori spazi ed eventualmente materiali a richiesta e, per gli spettacoli, oltre agli spazi, un impianto audio-luci di base.

Well, it’s the end of the world and we are still here!
During the previous edition of MITOS, the Meeting Italiano di TeatrO Sociale, we asked how through Social Theatre we could prepare ourselves for the impending end of the world (“It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel……”), foreseen by the Maya for the 21st December 2012, that is, today.
Following the meetings and the work carried out last year and in the previous editions, we, the “Empatheatre, la Compagnia dei Salvastorie”, the organizers of these meeting, have chosen the following theme for this year’s edition: “Wake Up, Dead Man!”, “Svegliati Uomo!”.
What role can the activities of Social Theatre play, by meeting every summer in Lucca, in stimulating this resurrection in men and women in the Society of a New World that changes, is born now and saves us from the old one?

Mitos 2013 will take place on 29th , 30th , 31st August and 1st September 2013, as usual in the historical centre of Lucca, in Tuscany, mainly in the San Micheletto complex, in Via San Micheletto 1.
The programme will be organized along the same lines of last year (see timetable attached), with 4 workshops for a total of 10 hours each (Workshops A, B, C, D), 4 “spot” workshops of about 4 hours each (Workshops E, F, G, H), an initial and conclusive plenary session (participation by enrolment), as well as 3 free performances for the public.
CALL/ANNOUNCEMENT
This year we have decided to extend the call: as well as the selection for the workshops (section A) and performances of Social Theatre (section B), like it was last year, we want to cross over into the world of drawing and graphics, looking for new ideas to transform the logo for Mitos (section C).
A reimbursement of expenses for the gross sum of € 150 will be granted to the teachers for a 10 hour workshop, a gross sum of € 70 for a plenary meeting or a 4 hour workshop.
The reimbursement for the performances will be calculated case-by-case based on the needs of the each performance.
As always the reimbursements for the teachers and the theatrical companies as well as the enrolment costs for the participants will be lower than average in order to facilitate meeting and exchange. The prize for the winner of the section “a new logo for Mitos” will be the free participation for two persons at Mitos 2013 and two t-shirts bearing the new logo. The logo will be used for the 2013 edition and published on all documents and posters of the Meeting and will possibly also be used for future editions.
As the organizing body, Empatheatre, the Compagnia dei Salvastorie, reserves final judgement on the conductors of workshops, the selected performances and the winning logo.
Workshop space and material will be supplied on request as well as basic lighting and amplifliers.
