I recently started recieving a wage garnishment from a company that I had a car through a in house financing in Oklahoma. Well we gave the car back cause we got another one and this was in 2010. Can they garnish my wages for this I reside in Texas

It may be a mistake to think that giving back the car satisfies the loan. It usually does not since the value of the car is often less than the amount owed. It may also be a mistake to think that where you live controls what can be garnished. Often is is much more important to know the sate, or several states, where your employer can be located.

All the nitty-gritty details and the paperwork of the complete transaction are important, from beginning to end, and there is not much I can do to help you with that.

The short answer to your question, "Can they DO that?"

They're doing it.
