Garmin gpsmap 62st is not recognized on my galaxy tab pro 8.4 - a variant of gpsmap 62. Will try soon with 62(no letters) but as far as you know should 62st work? Has anyone else tried the same model? Thanks

Can you provide detailed instructions?
No success with either Garmin Spanner or USB mass storage device.

Still no luck with 62s on 'exchanger for garmin'.  Nice that it has the option to show on a map.  Maybe it doesn't work because it's a USB mass storage device?  Should there be some setting on the tablet to tell it to not automatically detect/mount USB mass storage devices, and instead treat them as serial devices, to allow exchanger to work?
I can do the gpx transfer to/from the 62s by copying to/from the right directory once it is mounted as USB mass storage, but, that requires a different app - it sure would be nice if this app could detect that it's USB mass storage and just do the file copy in the background, while keeping the exchanger user experience 100% the same as if it were, say, a 60CSx serial-only device.  Is that possible?

I just noticed bolkodel's reply to one of the comments about etrex30 not working:

"With new receivers application will not run. Just plug as mass storage and upload and download GPX files"

Is that the final answer?  It would be great to have this app do the file transfer work for you.  That would really make it a winner.  All Garmins will probably be USB mass storage going forward, so, to not add that capability pretty much means the end of the road / no forward compatibility for this app, which is a real shame, cause it's a very handy app for the serial-only Garmins.

Could I ask, how were you able to test and confirm that it worked on a 62s, as in the first email in this thread?

Will Garmin Exchange work with Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Jelly Bean 4.3 and Garmin Montana 600?

Thanks and regards

Hi, is this the App that will finally let me transfer .gpx files from my android phone (Galaxy S2) (Im using the flight planning software - Skydemon) to a Garmin GPSMAP 296? via a micro/mini usb cable. Hope so.

I've never been able to do a successful transfer to or from a garmin 62 (mass storage) using this app.  Probably because the OS intercepts it and mounts it (with USB OTG) as a mass storage device.  I don't know any details there.  But, you can just use a normal file  manager program to copy the gpx file to the right place on the gps device.

This app works well for transfer to/from my Garmin 60CSx.  It would be nice to have this app determine that it's been mounted as mass storage and just say in the background "well, OK, I see it's a mass storage device, so, I'll just try copying the file to the right place, while the user experience is the same as if it were a non-mass-storage device."

Any chance of adding ANT+ support to this app?  Or, does anyone know of a different way to use ANT+ to transfer to/from something like a Garmin 62 (handheld GPS - not a wristwatch type thing).  Sportablet and mobile uploader says it works over ANT+ for the sport watches but I haven't tried, and, it doesn't have the functionality of this app anyway, right? - I just want to transfer waypoints and tracks, not fitness data or anything else.
