UIC Gardening Club

Welcome Back Gardeners!

              It's been a long winter, but the growing season has finally arrived. We have a lot of exciting plans for planting in the upcoming weeks, building off of our successful growth from last year. We have several locations on campus for the Gardening Club's plots at the Hull House Farm, UIC Seed, and a new location on the west campus completely dedicated to our garden. Our continued partnership with the Hull House Farm gives us the knowledge and expertise of professional farmers, as well as access to the tools and soil we need to harvest a successful crop. Let's start off the season right by getting our hands dirty and planting the seeds of the plants we want to eat!

is the UIC Hull House Farm.We will hold regular meetings throughout the Spring and Summer here. It is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Halsted and Taylor. Come check us out!

Gardening Club Growathon 2010!

This Friday, April 30th

From 3-6 @ the Hull House Farm

Take a break from studying for finals and join us for our the Gardening Club's kickoff event, the 2010 Growathon! It'll be way too nice to be inside studying all day, so walk over to the garden and plant a seed or an entire crop. Whatever you have time for. We guarantee you'll have better grades because of it! We'll be out  there all afternoon, so come on out and get reacclimated with nature and introduced to our growing spaces. See you out there!
