Better than original Weber Flavorizers
By A. J. Thomas
I purchased a set of these for my Weber. They are thicker than Weber's own ss flavorizers and thus hold more heat. This makes a great improvement in the evenness of heat at the grill. I recommend these 100% and I am a serious griller having used Weber gas grills for over 15 years. This the the best tweak you can do to any gas Weber grill.

Awesome!
By Foodie
I replaced the flavorizor bars, igniter, and grates on my 12-year old Weber Genesis Silver B. My grill cooks better now that it did then - And I though it was good then! Between the enamel-coated cast iron grates and these heavier flavorizor bars, my grill burns hotter than it did before, which really makes it sear much better than before. I highly recommend these flavorizor bars.

Flavorizer bars
By Firoze Rao
Better than the OEM parts that came with the grill. The OEM porcelain bars rusted through, don't ask me how; but I guess Weber uses cheap steel under the enamel that will eventually rust.
So, I decided to go with Stainless Steel, plus that these are 16 gauge means they should last a little longer. Also being heavier gauge means that they do take a few minutes longer to heat up to temperature. But once they are hot they hold their heat longer.
Flavorizer bars are a misnomer, they are really there to compensate for the lower heat values of gas grills as opposed to charcoal grills. The flavor part comes from when stuff drizzles on the bar and vaporizes and creates a sizzle, smell and aroma. But it sounds so much better than calling them sizzle bars or smell bars or aroma bars.
So marketing hype aside, if you want a high quality product go for this. If rapid temperature heating is your thing get Stainless in a thinner gauge of steel.
