The main thing I am missing is the history trail.
+ Off-line capabilities, but it will come.
+ A good post would explain How to transform Wikipedia data match the
Motionchart (below).

EXAMPLE: How to transform Wikipedia data match the Motionchart
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is an example: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pAxhcqJ1DpACB4GjQtavHEQ
Note: This is my test document if you see some other strange things

I want this table: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_future_GDP_per_capita_estimates_%28PPP%29
A23: Imported to Google: =ImportHtml("http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
List_of_countries_by_future_GDP_per_capita_estimates_%28PPP%29",
"table",1)
I put that formula in cell A23 and Google automatically fills in all
the =continue() formulas.
The new Motionchart adapted data will be put in cell A7, under heading
A6:Country, B6:Year and C6:BNP/capita.

A7: Country: =continue($A$23;2+(rows($A$7:A7)-1)/($B$2-2);1)
B7: Year: =continue($A$23;1;2+mod(rows($A$7:A7)-1;$B$2-2))
C7: BNP/capita: =continue($A$23;2+(rows($A$7:A7)-1)/($B$2-2);
2+mod(rows($A$7:A7)-1;$B$2-2))

B2: Columns: =columns(ImportHtml("http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
List_of_countries_by_future_GDP_per_capita_estimates_%28PPP%29",
"table",1))

From here on it's a straight forward =index/match formula to match
other Wikipedia data.

I hope this can help some of you to get started.
