Currently those element to not have a "switch orientation" option. I wonder how we missed it :p

Actually, I had a plan to implement horizontal swimlanes and allow
to mix them with vertical ones like specified in UML.
Of course, vertical fork/join is needed as well!

I added support for rotating the join node item. You can find it in the editor (ctrl-e).
I decided not to make it horizontal by default, since that might ruin other people's diagrams. Working around that is not worth the effort I think.
You can find it GitHub, or wait for the next release, it should be soon.
