newbie for gaphor

Hello everyone,

I'm new to gaphor for UML in MacOS (snow leopard), I have install
gaphor using command 'pip install gaphor', and finally the
installation process was successful. But there is no gaphor.app
installed in Application folder, how could I launch this application.

Hi,

To get Gaphor running on OS X, some more stuff is required. You can build it all through Homebrew <https://github.com/amolenaar/homebrew> (pygtk branch) or MacPorts <http://www.macports.org/>. Yuo'll need to build both Pycairo and PyGTK.

The much simpler solution is to download and run Gaphor from the prepared DMG at http://pypi.python.org/pypi/gaphor/. I prepared this DMG on Snow Leopard. You still need to have X11 installed (it's on your installation dvd if not installed already).

Why not use the prebuilt app? Easy_install is not making those.
