Iam also having this problem, i thought i was the only one! It's so annoying because if i delete it from my library the whole album is deleted from my playlists. i thought updating it would help but it didn't. does anyone know how to fix this??
This is happening to me too. It's extremely frustrating, especially since you can't delete songs from your library without removing them from playlists too. I updated to the newest version of IOS in hopes it would help-- no luck. As others have said, if you are really really quick on adding a song after turning the setting off yet again it seems to work sometimes, but that's annoying, unreliable, and only lets you add one song at a time.
This seems to a bug that crawled in after the last update. They need to fix this asap, it's annoying and it would definitely be a driving factor on me switching music streaming service. My music library is sacred. I add songs to a playlist and depending on a few factors they either ascend to my music library or stay in the playlist till whenever.
If you're wanting to add songs to a playlist , go to the playlist and select "edit". Then add the songs by search. I haven't had them added to my library and I added at least 6 new songs to a playlist.
Me too!! I thought it was only me, but I tried restarting my phone and deleting Apple Music and reinstalling, but that doesn't work either so don't stress yourself to do so. I might contact Apple to see if they can do anything about it, but for the meantime, keep deleting songs out of your library.
So annoying, might just go to Spotify... or do the old method way of high res downloading/torrenting each song. Shame, I like Apple Music > Spotify because they support the artists more... but if they cannot fix such a simple bug anytime soon I will cancel my subscription and move on.
Since the new S2 update the app is not working right. Prior to the update everything ran flawless. Now only one speaker plays out of 6, and when I add the others it reverts back to one before I even play music. Amazon music does not play, and my playlist is gone. Anyone have a fix for this?
I'm having a similar issue where I use Deezer and after browsing an artist I choose 'top tracks' ... There is no play button. I have to click each track ...listen ... Click the next track ... Listen ... Click the next track ... I can't just play the list. It's ridiculous
@malgor I moved your post to the My Collection space as there is already a playlist for this included with your Pandora Premium subscription - it's called My Thumbs Up Playlist.
My Thumbs Up is a playlist that collects your Thumbed Up tracks from each of your stations. Every time you thumb up a song on your stations, it will be automatically added to this playlist. My Thumbs Up playlists will only play the songs you have Thumbed Up.
@malgor While there isn't a link I can provide with instructions, I can say that the stations you continue to thumb up tracks on should generate those Thumbs Up playlists as they gain enough thumb feedback.
Ok, I must be missing something. I have stations with 100s of "thumbs up" songs on them, yet I only see one playlist that combines every thumbs up from every station into a massive playlist. I do not see any options under "playlists" in my collection to select a playlist with only "thumbs up" tracks from a particular station.
@bbsatx While we aren't able to give out a specific number as this is something that is constantly getting tested, after you have thumbed up enough songs on any given station you've created, we'll automatically generate a "Thumbs Up" playlist for that station. In other words, we'll collect your thumbs up from that station into a unique playlist, so you can access all of your favorite tracks whenever you want.
I have never been able to delete a song from any of my Playlists while listening to them on my iPhone. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place for a delete button but I'm doing it as I would do it if I were on my computer listening to a playlist.
Hi Adam, that does help a lot considering I couldn't find a way to delete a song in my playlist. However I have to say that once I had actually tried to delete a particular song, I found it extremely difficult and really not much help.
I found that when I tapped on edit I am faced with about 5 songs that are visible on my screen and I have to now scroll through hundreds of songs on my playlist to try to find the song I want to delete. Given how many songs I might want to delete it could actually take hours to find the songs. I don't think my aging eyesight is going like staring at list after list on my iPhone screen. I thought for a moment I had found a shortcut, I noticed at the top of screen showing the list was a magnifying glass and the caption "Find a song to add" at first glance I thought it was going to be Find a song to delete, wouldn't that be nice. It doesn't look like a lot of thought was ever put into the software design for this app.
Why can't you delete a song from your playlist. I have clicked the check mark from the collection off i have hit the plus sign and then the check mark and then off again. I have hit the 3 dots and there is no delete song option. I have a Samsung s10. I dont use a computer. You can't unlike the song unless it randomly plays.
To remove songs from your playlist, scroll down and press the circled 'x' to the left of the songs you would like to remove or swipe the track name from right to left. (Deleting songs from your custom playlists will not remove the original Thumb rating from your stations).
To edit Playlist, and delete songs, you have to go to the actual Playlist, hit edit, then scroll endlessly and needlessly to the song you want to remove. This is a ridiculously ignorant and inferior approach to editing your personal list-- especially for a premium subscriber.
Example; I'm listening to my multitude of favorite thumbs up-- a song plays that I don't like and wish to remove it. Then THERE SHOULD BE an icon right there, to simply do just that. I don't want to have to go to my Playlist, scroll until I hopefully find the song (because numbering order is stupidly removed when in edit mode.)
The Community Feature Request board is a place where registered community members can share what they would like to see on Pandora. It's a place where members can discuss, suggest, and vote on features and ideas, as well as see what the rest of the community thinks.
Alan Alda's "Clear+Vivid" was added to my Playlist and I DO NOT want it and cannot remove it! I am guessing Pandora gets paid to put things like this on playlists without caring whether they are welcome?
Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.
I've been trying to remove songs from a collaborative playlist that I have with my friend, however I'm unable to do so. I am currently using the Spotify desktop app and I have followed/liked the playlist. Although I can click and see the "Remove from playlist" button, but whenever I click that, the song just pops back. Any idea on why this is happening?
We can confirm that the way collaborative playlists work was changed recently. The playlist owner still has full control over the playlist and can add or remove tracks freely, but when it comes to collaborators, they can only remove the songs they've personally added. This is done to prevent the potential unwanted data loss within the playlist.
In the recent months, nearly EVERY one of my collaborative playlists have been spammed by bots. I don't mean people I am not in touch with adding to my playlists, I mean, repeatedly, bot accounts that have no connection to me are adding dozens of songs to my playlist from a specific unknown artist (completely different than my playlist's genre), presumably to cheat the Spotify system and gain more streams to their audio. These are not well followed playlists (maybe 1 follow each), so I can only assume that they were found by bots.
I'm going through the trouble of posting because this is strongly affecting my use of Spotify and enjoyment of my few public playlists, and it's very taxing to frequently remove hundreds of added spam songs.
We know it must be frustrating to have bots add songs to the playlists you share with your friends. I've had this happen to myself and I know how annoying it is. Other users feel the same way and have created this Idea about limiting the editing access to Collaborative playlists, which has now been marked as Good Suggestion. It would be great if you can add your +Vote. The more votes an Idea gets, the more likely it is to get implemented. Here you can read more on how ideas work.
Regarding reporting bot accounts - Spotify takes streaming manipulation in all forms seriously and responds proactively to reports and also works behind the scenes to prevent this. It would be helpful if you can send us a link to the profile which is added songs to your collaborative playlists repeatedly, so that we can pass this info on to the right teams.
Oh my gooodness! It's only been two weeks and the same playlist (again, only 1 follower and a completely different genre) has been spammed by a different bot account posting the same songs! This is so annoying!
