Marketing Request: We hope that you are all enjoying life after GAP. Thank you for helping us to make this year one of the most successful on record. Before you graduate, we would like to ask
you for any media you might have recorded as part of your GAP experience. We would be very interested to use your photo’s (action shots, candids), video and any written travelogue material in future marketing efforts. If you have any photos that you believe
represent the unique experience that is GAP, we would really appreciate the chance to tell the GAP story through your media. We are particularly interested in photos and video from the field. Please try to tell us a bit of what is happening in the photo or
video.
Also, We invite you to visit the brand new external GAP website at
http://gap.ucla.edu. |

The application for the 2014 GAP Fellows Program is now open. The program honors and formally recognizes outstanding graduates of the previous year’s GAP program. It offers students an opportunity to mentor and share their GAP experiences with the incoming class of students. Fellows advise incoming students during the Winter and Spring quarters before GAP begins by providing valuable information on team formation, bidding on companies, planning for research travel and other related topics. Fellows serve on panel discussions, provide feedback on presentations and business plans, meet with teams as requested by students, and otherwise make themselves available as a source of information about GAP. The total time commitment is 30 to 40 hours over the entire 6 months of the GAP course.
Students interested in being considered for selection as a GAP Fellow must complete an online application at http://ucla.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_bPYB4XaoumlAMLj on or before Monday, February 10, 2014. Selection criteria is not based entirely upon the GAP course final grade, but includes a student’s overall performance in GAP including team leadership, enthusiasm, and the ability to communicate effectively. Professor Foster, Dr. Svenson, all GAP faculty advisors and the GAP staff will be involved in the final selection. The total number of Fellows chosen each year varies, but it is always a very select few. Last year we selected 17 Fellows from a class of 260 students.
Being selected as a GAP Fellow is a significant accomplishment and is an official UCLA Anderson academic honor. Recipients are formally recognized in the MBA graduation
program and at UCLA Anderson’s annual academic awards dinner held just prior to graduation. This honor is appropriate to include in a professional resume and provides a unique avenue to communicate the experiences gained during and after the GAP program to
a prospective employer. |

This is a friendly reminder that our office has several leftover business plans, which were returned to us by the judges. We will keep the
plans in our office until January 31, please stop by the office (B302) to pick up any extra copies we may have received (you can keep them). After January we will dispose of all plans that are not picked up.
