Dear GAP Fellows,
It’s that time – time to start pairing up with the companies and teams for the program. Prof. Foster gave the introductory presentation to the 2012 GAP class on Sat. They have currently picked 40 of the 52 companies that will be part of the program. It should work out to 3 to 4 companies per fellow. Following this email I will send you a link to the Google doc I have created with information on all of the companies and spots to volunteer for them. A couple of things to think about might be special help you can provide for certain company types or knowledge of the target market. For now, do not worry about having more than one person on a company. We will come up with a way to sort out the final assignment at a later date. For now, just put your name down for any companies you would like to work with and we will see how that goes. I’m sure some of the companies will have no immediate volunteers, so we will like have a few random assignments as well. Please email me if you have any questions. As new companies are confirmed for the program I will add their info to the sheet.

That sounds like an excellent vacation! I already compiled a sheet, but one thing that would be helpful is if you had some sort of general industry classification. I know we had those attached to each of the companies last year. This year everything appeared to just be alphabetical. If not, that’s ok. We’re making progress on the assignments. Thanks much.

My apologies for not responding to this sooner. I was out of the office for Claudia’s wedding in Maui!
We can certainly compile an excel spreadsheet with the information from Professor Foster’s slides though it seems you may have beat us to it. If you still need this please let me know and we’ll have it to you by tomorrow.
