Yang Gong Fengshui Discussion

It is interesting to read your article - especially I had read
sometimes ago that it was Yang who invented the 24 mountains and I
have been wondering about that. I am one who likes to ask questions
and wonder why this? why that? I thought I'll start a new topic
discussion on the 24 mountains, so I won't end up hijacking your
topic.

Now regarding left and right...

It came about also when water coming from the right to the left, was
considered as Yang water because the Earth rotates the Sun to the East
from right to the left. They objectively assumed that since the water
is Yang, therefore Dragon must be Yin, and coming from the left to the
right. This is very obvious that the Dragon and Water are not coming
from the same directions, which is not happening in the real world,
vise-versa.....so they "invented" a different Tian Pan with Yin and
Yang mountains.
Looking at the general Five Arts views:
In face and palm reading,
left = yang = male
right = yin = female
In DLR divination,
Stems = yang = left
Branch = yin = right
In most divination methods, the one that make the first move is yang.

Regarding the earth part:
Imagine that I am the planet Earth, my head is the North, looking down
to my left hand is the East and my right hand is the west. So as I
turn, my left hand sees the sun first, so left/East is Yang and right/
West is Yin... also as seen in Luo Shu ba gua. But of course after a
location has move past the Sun it starts to become Yin (night) while
the Yin starts to become Yang (day).
Just sharing my thoughts.

Hi moonchin,
Great stuff. I also think meek has a point there. In land form fs
right is white tiger which is yin and left is green dragon which is
yang. If the front road of a house is from left to right, it is
considered yin water or white tiger, thus the main door of the house
is preferred to be on the left, yang door green dragon. Ok this has
noting to do with Yang gong feng shui, just wondering about yin and
yang.

I am happy to receive such constructive comments. Yes in many
contemporary FS and other metaphysics, such as palm reading, the Yin
yang thing is very objective. Meek is right.
But in our system, we do have a peek at the contemporary Yin Yang
differentiation, but we look at any audit with a subjective view
because we depend heavily on the dragons theory in the Zhang Shu. It
is very clearly stated in the Zhang shu that water is born from the Qi
that was contained in the earth. So Yang Gong concluded that Earth
(mountain, dragons,) is Yang and water is yin. The coming from left
or right water does not count in our audits as yin or yang, but as
auspicious or inauspicious in relation to the sitting cave and
incoming dragon. I'm happy to answer more questions coming from you
guys.

Hi moonchin,
Could you please write a bit more on "sitting cave" cause it is a
phrase I am not knowing. Is it the same as "mountain"? The word cave
is like something that surrounds and protects. I see mountain as
something that just sits behind.
Also the yin feng shui, is it very different from house audit as to
good and bad directions?

Good question. I am sure many would also like to know.
The word Hsueh in Chinese has no equivqalent in English and the
nearest word used is Cave. In Yin FS, it would be Hsueh, and in Yang
fengshui, the sitting would be considered Hsueh. (it will take a few
pages to write on Hsueh alone for both Yin and Yang fengshui).
Yes, the other meaning of it would be like what you said: that its a
spot that has backing and left and right protection (Qing loong bai
hu). Thats a perfect Hsueh external environment.
Hsueh in Yin fengshui would be the spot whereby we find good
auspicious Qi and it has to be compatible with the incoming dragon.
The incoming dragon is the immediate dragon behind the cave. It also
has to be compatible with the waters in front to be auspicious.
Compatibility with dragon and not with water or Vice versa,
is incomplete and the auspiciousness would be either less or would
incur different results.
No. In YG FS, audits of Yin and Yang FS we use the same theories and
principles, and practical applications. Only difference is that we
need to adapt to the situation at hand.
for example in a rural environment, the dragons are visible clearly
and the waters are also better defined than in an urban environment.
we need to be flexible at times, and also I always stress on this
point: YG FS practicals are very subjective.
We take serious consideration of external situations.
