My name is Joe and I have been reading, to my dismay, all the
unwarranted attack to you and your school.
I am not privy with the tenets of your school, but so far, everything
you have written seems quite reasonable and, in fact, I have learned
some interesting things from your articles. And I would like to learn
more about your school and its teachings.
Unfortunately, for the time being, due to a host of reasons, I cannot
register for the course you have advertised in the Chinese Astrology
List. Nevertheless, it is possible that I may be able to do it at a
later time. ¿Do you think we can correspond via email in the
intervening time and exchange impressions and information in the
extent that you are allowed to do so?
I am originally Japanese but I have lived abroad a great deal of my
life. I read classical Chinese and I enjoy reading and studying the
ancient text of all Metaphysical Methods.
Because of my work, I may have the chance to visit Singapore at the
end of the Month or perhaps in June. If that is the case, I was
wondering if we could meet in Malasya? I understand it is a 6 hour
trip to the capital and I am not sure how long a trip it will be
either from Singapore or from the Malasyan capital to Penang. But I
would love to pay you a visit, get to know you personally and pave the
way for a future visit.
Anyways, I wanted to write this note, strike a friendship with you and
let you know that there are a lot of silly things said in the many
notes people have sent regarding your announcement.
One guy said that "lineage does not count, just results". I think he
is Chinese or overseas chinese. However, he does not have any lineage
nor is he part of any "tradition" or "school". So, basically he does
not know anything about lineage nor school nor tradition. Therefore,
how can he simply dismiss lineage when, in the first place, he does
not know anything about it. It seems a very silly argument. I am
japanese and living abroad has made me become more aware of the value
of traditions and lineage. So, do not be discouraged and know that
there are people out there like me that agrees with you and have the
same feeling toward traditional matters.
If you have some time and you would like to be friends, please drop me
a note at your conviniente.
Sincerely,
Joe
