I seem to have an 800-day limit built into task durations. Even when
hovering over the task bar shows a longer duration, the editing box
shows 800 days. If I enter a longer duration, it is reduced to 800.

Yes, there is a limit of 800 days for a task duration? Do you need more? If yes, please write in and we can provide a tweak on the configuration file to increase it.

Thanks for the reply: I was beginning to think I was going mad! Yes,
I'm charting a three-year project and there is one low-level task
which spans the whole period. I was beginning to think I would have to
work around it in some way. If you can tell me how to tweak the
configuration file that would be very helpful.
