Hi,

I am using Joomla 3.1 here

I want a User (with Editor permission) to be able to edit articles from the front end. At present they can log in at the front end but no edit icon appears on the article they want to edit so they can't open the editor. If I log in on the front end as super admin there is still no facility to edit.

I'm probably missing something obvious . . . . . . .

Have you assigned Editor Rights Permission to that user?

Best wishes

Josef

Josef, thanks for the response but yes, done that. As I say, it doesn't even work for me as Superadmin.

HI

Just to clarify, your User isn't trying to edit a Module conent. This can't be editted from the frontend.

Best wishes

I think I have sorted it, but it isn't very satisfactory. I can only use front end editing in the main body so I need to use a "Read More" link to open a main body text which then has the Edit icon. This OK but I was hoping not to have to use the Main Body at all since all the articles are short enough not to need this. Any one know different?
