I've installed the gantry framework onto an existing site.

When I switch to the gantry front end template I get this error message for all my menu items that link to a component. Menu items that link to an article or category work fine as do my modules.

The sites current template works ok

What I am doing wrong - is there some that needs changing in the menu items for components

Happened to me once and it was due to the fact that template was for J! 3.0 and I was installing it on a J!2.5.x (according to the provider the template was for J! 2.5.x...). If that's not the case, go to MySQL and set Gantry as template with value 1, and place the older as value 0. Hope it helps.

One other thing I might check is that you have the RokNavMenu installed and active. It's part of the gantry bundle but not the stand alone gantry template download I believe. So if what Alex said doesn't work I would try downloading and installing the Gantry Bundle.

The first time you must install gantry bundle package! The template and the framework is not enough for gantry to work correctly.

I've solved the problem - it was caused by an old version of an extension - "mod article". Installing the latest version has resolved the issue.
