Joomla 2.5 support ending 12/31/14

I saw a notice on one of my sites that support for Joomla 2.5 was ending at the end of the year.
Are there any upgrade issues with Gantry?

Hello Brad,

Best practice for something like this is to work on a test site.  You should a backup solution like Akeeba Backup and restore it to a test site.  It's not just Gantry you need to be concerned about but all the rest of your extensions as well.  I have a couple of Joomla 2.5 sites that I need to migrate over to Joomla 3.x and I've been putting it off because I know some of the extensions are not compatible with some of the Rocket Theme extensions I have installed.  Not only that I did some customizations with another set of extensions from NoNumber and the custom style I setup with those will have to be redone because the same extension for Joomla 3.x is completely different than the one for Joomla 2.5.  This is just some food for thought because you won't want to try and migrate your live site.  You'll want to do it on your test site then back it up again and move over to the main domain.
