Drop down Menu issue

Greetings,

I am facing a problem with my dropdown menu.i need it to drop down then spread left and right since it is now stretching my template,i also want this behaviour to not show up for the first  menu item,i want it to start with the second item,similarly i want the left item to only drop down to the left and not to the right.
is this possible?please see attached images to get a glimpse of what i am trying to achieve.

also after a recent update i have two menu's showing up,and i can not turn off the other menu,any ideas?

Not sure why you have 2 menu items. You may wan to look inside your module manager and turn off the menu module since you are using the one already included with the template in the template manager.

As far as controlling the behavior or the menu try looking here http://demo.rockettheme.com/joomla/acacia/features/menu-options for an idea of what you can control and how to do that. Not sure why there is not a similar page for the http://demo.gantry-framework.org site as both templates are using RokNav Menu.

As for the menu shifting from side to side left or right, the drop down choices usually will float as need be as to not go off the page. If you think you are having an issue you may want to uninstall RokNav Menu and possibly all parts of Gantry, then clear your sites cache and reinstall.
