Hi

I am trying to add menus in to footer positions. I have created custom html modules and placed in to relevant module positions. all modules will be displayed correctly.(same as www.patentcsi.com )  But how can i give the url to certain articles ?

I have checked on the joomla forum and there are guides to get the url of certain articles .

I tried like this . 17 is my article id. even  when I enter this url on the browser, i dnt see the article.  may be something wrong in my article configurations. Could you please help me to give the article ( currently assigend to top menu pages) url to footer menus as well ?

Thank you
Luke.

Ths may be worth a try not 100% sure your haveing the same thing happen I had.  But its check.
Sound liek you havent create a menu link to the article and you may not want that but if you dont by defaul they show up callingthem by id wherever the feature article display is set to diplay, usually on a main page. They may be displayng and you haven't noticed if you didnt look there or don't have that  part of the main displayed.
What i found worked to have th article display where you want was this.

I created a "hidden" menu link simple proses create a new menu calling it "hidden" just under the menu config on the council .
There is no module needed and the link's  never displayed. Then simple on the menu you do want displayed add your link and lin it to the article it then displays as intend.

Worked in my case hope it does for you .

Hi Greg,

Thanks for the reply. So now I'm going to re-create the articles from the scratch . may be I have done something wrong some where. Unable to figure out as there is so many articles.

Can you kindly give me an answer for following too.

For example , I have created a footer menu module with following items.

<div class="footerlinks1">
     <div class="footerhead"><a href="index.html">Home</a></div>
     <ul>
         <li><a href="aboutus.html">About Us</a></li>
                            <li><a href="testimonials.html">Testimonials</a></li>
                            <li><a href="Services.html">Services</a></li>
                             <li><a href="submit-request.php">Submit a Request</a></li>
       </ul>
     </div>

is it possible to give article url instead of *.html ?

Something like this :

<div class="footerlinks1">
     <div class="footerhead"><a href="http://localhost/sunshine/index.php?option=com_content&id=17">Home</a></div>
     <ul>
         <li><a href="http://localhost/sunshine/index.php?option=com_content&id=18">About Us</a></li>
                            <li><a href="http://localhost/sunshine/index.php?option=com_content&id=19">Testimonials</a></li>
                            <li><a href="http://localhost/sunshine/index.php?option=com_content&id=20">Services</a></li>
                             <li><a href="submit-request.php">Submit a Request</a></li>
       </ul>
     </div>

Thank you
Luke.
