WhenI updated my iPhone to iOS 17.5, Siri will not play music from my library that is on my phone. Previously all I had to say was "Play playlist New Stuff" and Siri would start playing the first song in the play list. I do not have an apple music subscription and shouldn't need one for Siri to play the music in my library. Now when I ask Siri to play music it says "Looks like Apple Music can't play that." I had this problem a year or two ago after a previous update. The solution was to add "from my library" to the request. After a later update I did not need to append with "from my library." The Music setting does have an option to "Show Apple Music" but I have it turned off. I toggled it on and off and still have the same problem. Why is this happening again? I've googled around but none of the solutions have helped. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Made another call to Apple Tech Support (5/29/2024). Evidently, many have this issue. Because of all the calls Apple is aware of this. My guess is that there will be another software update to fix this Siri (music) issue.
What a nightmare. I only just paid 500 to get carplay in my car a couple of months ago and now I am back to manually selecting playlists again on my phone. Shame... it was all working perfectly until the update.
Same problem here, but in addition, I will tell it to call my wife (First and last Name) Then it says hmm I dont seem to have a number for (first and last name) who do you want to call? I then respond with first name only and siri says "calling First name last name". It's as if she has dementia. Can AI develop dementia? Very annoying.
They still push the Apple Music subscription and it's irritating as "H". I am a long time Apple user and love the brand dearly, however I don't like "forced ads" on any level. I already have Sirius and have no use for Apple Music period. How many different ways can I turn down the offers? I do agree with you about the updates to fix issues. Apple is pretty good with that.
I was thinking the same. Only because they keep shoving an Apple Music subscription down my throat. But, I doubt if that is behind the recent problem with 17.5.1. But I wouldn't put it past them either. ?
I also do not subscribe to Apple Music. Why? I have 8,663 songs in my phone (51.8 GB). I have created many Playlists on my phone. Up to iOS 17.5, I was able to play these playlists in Muisc on my phone by asking Siri to play the music while driving. Now it does not work. This means I can not change my music while driving as I have the phone be locked out while driving.
I have two homes setted in my home app. Before the new update of the home app, I was able to start music on my Google nest mini even when I was not at home. There was a button "play music" that started my Spotify and the music was playing and I was able to control my playlist from the Spotify app and cast it on my nest mini in the two home no matter if I was connected on the same wifi network.
I'm in the hole, I use to play music for my dogs and sometimes just to pretend that I'm home when I was actually away, so people wouldn't think that nobody was home. Kind safety measures. Please, bring back that option.
Could you tell us exactly how did you do that before with your Google Nest speakers? The Google Assistant can get multiple things done automatically with Routines. You can schedule a Routine for when you need it, or start it any time with a command. You can also set up Home & Away Routines, which start when the first person comes home or when everyone is away.
So you open spotify and you choose where you want to play the music, could be your phone or your google nest at home. Or you could open your home app/google nest and play music from far away, even if you are in another country or planet for that matter, but the option is very limited nor to say one only option, play music only when you are home. Got it?
I will send feedback for sure, but just to be even clearer, this feature is not a feature we would like to have, it's something that was available until the last update of the google home app and that has been removed from the app. I think it was, in my opinion, one of the best feature of the app.
I even called the google support about that in the last summer and they just told me that this feature is not available and that we have to be on the same network to cast. At least they could have said that it has already existed but it had to be removed for some reasons. It's like if they don't want us to know that it was possible... I would really like to have that feature back or at least to have the reason why it has been removed.
I do have the new update for IOS 15 but I had updated my previous phone and was still able to play music through that phone with IOS 15 so that makes me believe it is an issue with the new phone. I am using an apple charger to plug into my car as well. Any advice is appreciated!
I followed the instructions from the forum and went into Settings/Music/Audio then select EQ (equalizer) and turned it off. That worked and I was able to play music via USB port in my car successfully.
So Since I got the iphone 13 pro max I have been troubleshooting spending hours on the phone and erase all and restore. So finally got the right person on the phone from Apple this morning. the problem was the music wont' play, like trying to play but just won't play. here's how I solve my problem. Iphone 13 pro max settings >> General >> Transfter or Reset Iphone >> Reset (bottom of the page ) >>reset all settings .. go get a coffee , relax , when it's done , try pluggin in usb in your car and music would play now...
Even with the 5.1.1 update my doesnt connect via usb sadly but I just bought bluetooth car adapter because it doesnt seem like they are fixing the issue quick enough for iPhone 12. Smh so Id suggest purchasing one until its fixed or in general. Their not expensive and a quick fix
It seems like a lot of people are having the issue so I would think it is a software issue. If enough people go to the feedback site for apple and report the issue, that should raise a flag for them to work on a new update to fix the issue. I have seen several threads of this exact same problem and I myself am dealing with it too.
All our experiments are all built with freely accessible web technology such as Web Audio API, WebMIDI, Tone.js, and more. These tools make it easier for coders to build new interactive music experiences. You can get the open-source code to lots of these experiments here on Github.

So, there is no work around for this issue. This issue occurs because all devices can't play more than one type of media (songs, sounds, or podcasts) at a time. When Roblox runs, it has audio that is playing in different games, so both forms of media coincide and Spotify will stop playing. As of now, the only option is to run Spotify on a seperate device. It really isn't ideal. I know. You could try providing feedback to Spotify's Customer Support.
There are still a bunch of games that you can still use Spotify with and I usually just play old games like from years ago and some modern day games work but not all of them. I thought I was the only one who had this problem .
If the music is written in bass clef (for low instruments), then you 100% cannot play it on the flute. Unless of course you are able to read bass clef. In which case just play the music up an octave or two (or three!).
Also, music written for low instruments is in a totally different style to music written for flute. There will be less notes written (because fast notes down low sound muddy), and it will rarely be the melody. So in a nutshell, not very exciting to play alone on the flute!
Every instrument has a particular range that it is capable of. Plus, in reality, not all players can yet play the whole range of notes, so they will have their own "range" that they are comfortable playing.
If the music goes lower than the flute can play, it will be impossible to play (or even read) those notes. Unless you play those low notes up the octave, in which case, it will work, but will just sound a bit weird.
If two instruments in different keys both play an A, they will sound as different notes. Crazy I know! If you've never encountered this concept, it's super weird at first to wrap your head around. (There is a reason behind this craziness. Basically it keeps fingerings similar across instruments.)
Ok, now we're getting into some (good) details! Articulation is basically the TONGUING and SLURRING in the piece. There are finer details too, like how delicate or smooth or robust the style of playing should be...
Because it's basically flute music. It has almost the same range as the flute. It's in the same key. The articulation is identical in style. The downside is that you won't really find much piccolo music out there!
Yes, there is lots of it around. And it totally fits the bill in all the categories I talked about above. Recorder music won't have a great range of dynamics (because the recorder can't vary its volume very much), but I think most flute players can live with that!
If you have Piano music lying around, you can play the top line (the right hand) on the flute. Just take into account what I said about piano above. You can even play it with someone playing the bottom line (the left hand) on the piano at the same time. So an easy-made duet.
If you happen to have some Clarinet, Trumpet, Saxophone music around, this will mostly work fine on the flute. Just don't try playing it with anyone else on a different instrument because it will sound very strange indeed, since those instruments are in a different key to the flute.
