Brothers and Sisters,
This Labor Day, we pause to honor the generations of carpenters who came before us and to celebrate the hard work and solidarity of every member of our union today. Thanks to your skill and your commitment, our union continues to grow stronger every day. Enjoy YOUR holiday and stand tall knowing the difference you make—on the job site, in your community, and in the lives of future generations.
In solidarity,
Kevin McLaughlin
Executive Secretary-Treasurer
| | Union pride was on full display at last week's Madison County, Illinois Federation of Labor Parade. Thank you Local 664 members, family and friends who came out to greet the crowds and promote Mid-America Carpenters. | | We proudly recognize our valued partners, like McBride Homes employing a small army of union contractors here at the new Polo Grounds Estates. On this Labor Day, and every day, we're grateful for our loyal GCs and subcontractors who support their local union workforce. | | The Yorktown Center in Lombard, IL is seeing a major mixed-use redevelopment. The old mall will soon transform into a new community called the "Yorktown Reserve." Along with nearly 600 beautiful luxury rentals and dozens of amenities, the Yorktown Reserve will also boast a live/work/play district with Dave & Busters, grocery stores and new restaurants. This exciting project will need high quality craftsmanship and that's what MACRC Carpenters bring to the table! | | We checked in on this crew helping Missouri Baptist Medical Center upgrade their hospital in St. Louis. Our members with Rhodey Construction, Diverzify commercial flooring and Friend Acoustical Ceilings are trusted pros when it comes to getting the job done safely in busy hospital settings. | |
Our members working for signatory contractors AL Huber, IBC, TPC and Wilko Construction are building a 40-room, 30,000-square-foot pediatric wing for Samuel U. Rodgers Health Clinic in Kansas City's historic Independence Plaza Northeast Neighborhood. The $23.5 million expansion brings new clinic services so more kids can get the care they deserve.
Great job, Brothers and Sisters!
