Team Building

Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council members from Nebraska and Iowa came together this past week for a joint legislative conference. Over two days, we connected with state and local politicians, learned where they stand on our issues, and built relationships that make our union stronger. What do these leaders have in common? They support the MACRC! Big thanks to everyone who showed up and made their voices heard. And special thanks to Assistant Political Director Felicia Hilton for organizing!

- Inmates -

MACRC Carpenters with Whitley Construction are building a new, temporary jail in Jackson County, Missouri. Our members are working on layout for the modular jail cells, hanging metal studs and drywall and fire caulking for fire suppression. Upon completion, the site will house 120 cells.

- Solid Work -

A North American building solutions company is making a new home in Chicago's Loop, where drywall is going up as we speak. Thanks to the efficiency and skill of MACRC Carpenters with GC Leopardo, this office buildout will be good to go in a couple of months.

- Digging In -

This crew with Drake Carpentry is eating up some good work hours at the new Jimmy John’s coming soon to St. Louis County. You can count on our professional, union carpenters to serve up a job well done!

- St. Paddy's -

MACRC members from Local 1 and Local 13 took part in Forest Park's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. Illinois Speaker of the House Chris Welch stopped by to snap a photo with our hammer float. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Signage: We're always deeply grateful to our partners who choose professional, union carpenters for their projects, like T.R. Hughes and McBride Homes, building Elkhorn Ridge in Warrenton, MO. We appreciate your trust in our expert crews.

Open Doors: During Women in Construction Week, we attended this career expo in St. Louis that's opening doors to women exploring opportunities in the trades. An annual event, this unique hiring expo is reaching more women every year.
