Factory Expansion

Union Carpenters working for Verslues Construction are building a new campus for Quaker Windows in Eldon, MO. Our members are performing the entire carpenter package on this new manufacturing plant that includes two new buildings each totaling almost 350,000 square feet. Quaker is a leading nationwide manufacturer of windows & doors and this expansion will allow them to increase production capacity to their residential, luxury, and commercial markets.

- Future Faces -

The MACRC had a major presence at the 97th Illinois FFA State Convention in Springfield. Reps from Carpenters Local 270 and Millwright Local 1693 were there to spread the word about the rewarding careers available in our trades. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booths to learn more about our Union. Looking forward to having you join our ranks!

- Back to Nature -

Nature lovers will feel right at home at Pinckney Ridge in Warrenton, MO. Our Thoroughbred Construction crews are working with Rolwes Homes on this 90-house community with endless hiking and fishing to enjoy on 1,400 acres of Reifsnider State Forest.

- Off to School -

Opening soon in the sprawling Harvest subdivision near Wentzville, MO is Aspen Academy. It’s a day care/learning center adjacent to 800 new homes we’ve been building at Harvest. Our Carpenters with Waterhout and Orf’s Drywall will have Aspen ready for the neighborhood kiddos in a couple of months.

Up Next: Sisters volunteer their skills saving a historic St. Louis house; Our Quad Cities training center is going high-tech; We're reshaping Chicago's iconic skyline; and new careers for military veterans.

Valued Friends: We call out bad contractors when necessary, but it's also important to recognize those who do the right thing and support union labor. This is United Ink in Belleville, Illinois, building an addition to their printing business with union contractor Middendorf & Reuss. We proudly show our support for those who support us!

Milestones: Locals 272 and 1027 marked some impressive milestones recently at pin presentations. We always make time to honor our lifelong loyal members. Thank you all for your many years of hard work and dedication to the Carpenters Union; it does not go unnoticed! Special shout out to Local 272's 75-year pin recipient Carl Ruzich and 70-year recipient Don Tornow!
