Remembrance
Today is Workers’ Memorial Day, remembering those who have lost their lives on the job. Every year, more than 5,000 workers die from workplace injuries and today we take a moment to honor the fallen and renew our mission to make sure every jobsite is safe. Always check your surroundings and continue to make safety your #1 concern each and every day. We pray for our Brothers and Sisters whose lives were taken too soon.

The Labor Alliance for Public Transit, a coalition of 30+ unions across northeastern Illinois, is asking riders of Metra, Pace, and CTA to share their stories. Public transit is important to our communities, and we know that many union members rely on it to get to and from work every day. If you use public transit, can you take 5 minutes to fill out this survey?
All you need to do is tell us why public transit is important to you and improvements you would like to see (and upload a selfie along with your response.) Bonus points if your photo is at your regular public transit stop. Responses will be used on social media to support the Labor Alliance for Public Transportation’s efforts to pass United We Move legislation and fund the public transit system Chicagoland deserves!
