Jackpot

MACRC Carpenters with RG Construction are displaying master-class craftsmanship at the Wind Creek Casino in Homewood, IL. This casino hit the jackpot when they hired Union Carpenters!

- Record Infrastructure Funding-

EST Kevin McLaughlin joined IL Gov Pritzker and several labor leaders on Friday for the latest round of $41.4 billion in infrastructure upgrades as part of the state's signature Rebuild Illinois program. Rebuild Illinois is the largest multiyear infrastructure program in state history, investing in roads and bridges in all 102 counties in addition to rail lines, waterways, and bicycle and pedestrian accommodations. This program is creating hundreds of thousands of work-hours for our members over the next several years!

- Upgrading -

Union Carpenters with JE Dunn are working on this $60 million exterior upgrade of the Charles E. Whittaker Federal Courthouse in Kansas City, MO. Our members are engineering temporary walls to keep the elements out while crews replace the north face of the building. Contractors are using low-embodied carbon glass and steel in accordance with a White House initiative to prioritize lower levels of carbon emissions.

- Residential 2.0 -

Lots of manpower at work at Lake View Farms, a 62-acre community in St. Charles, MO. Fischer & Frichtel builds beautiful new homes and they’re built to last thanks to our expert Union Carpenters.

- River Bridge -

Work continues on the McClugage Bridge across the Illinois River in Peoria. Local 237 Carpenters are decking the bridge and showcasing their skilled training. The new bridge, which will increase safety and reduce travel times, is expected to be completed this year.

Heat Safety: It's That Time of Year

More

A Good Sign: KC reps have been hitting the streets popping up Mid-America Regional Council yard signs in front of non-union jobs and public areas across the Kansas City metro. It's one of the many tools we use to recruit the next generation of Union Carpenters.

Lunchtime: One of the main benefits of union membership is the camaraderie we share with our Brothers and Sisters. Here we are enjoying a hearty lunch together at a jobsite in St. Louis. In the Carpenters Union, we take care of each other.

Sharpshooters: Thanks to all the marksmen who came out to the Southern Region Scholarship Fund Clay Shoot. Great shooting for a great cause!
