Carpenters Local 1889 has been picketing/bannering/handbilling Home Goods and Burlington Coat Factory locations in Wheaton and Downers Grove during the holiday shopping season for hiring contractors who undercut our hard-fought area standards. | |

Helping Hands: Local 58 Reps Matt Oclon and Alex Perez joined with apprentice Justin Zara to help out a 50-year resident of Hoffman Estates who needed a handrail replaced. The village provided the materials and the 58 crew provided the volunteer labor. It is great to see our members giving back to our communities and showing their holiday spirit! | |

Carpenters Wellness Center is open Monday – Friday from 8 am – 5 pm*. You may also schedule virtual appointments with a provider during regular hours by phone or video, so you can get care from the comfort of home.

Do You Know Mass Timber?
Mass Timber is expected to start making an impact in the St. Louis market soon. A lot of work - and many man-hours - will be coming our way, but only if our members are properly trained on this emerging sector of our industry.
To ensure readiness, members should begin preparing by completing the following essential training qualifications and certifications: MEWP / Rough Terrain / Signaling / Rigging Awareness / Rigging Qualification (recommended for lead persons) / Mass Timber Training.
