The Mid-America Carpenters proudly lent a hand to prospective carpenters through the Learning with Lakeside Alliance workshop at the Obama Presidential Center. Union Carpenters guided dozens of local high school students building wood storage units that will be used while work continues on the Presidential Center. It's a replica of the famous Texas honky-tonk immortalized in "Urban Cowboy" and of course it will include Gilley's legendary mechanical bulls.
