Bergland Construction is leading the way on a hefty expansion project consisting of five independent living one-bedroom apartments and nine additional private healthcare suites at the retirement community, The Danish Home of Chicago. - Above & Beyond -

Congrats to Local 790 members and apprentices on some recent recognitions! Blake Murphy received the Golden Hammer Award for being an outstanding apprentice, and is moving up to journeyman. Apprentice Cain Powers received an award of excellence and $500 from the Northern Illinois Building Contractors Association. And 790 welcomes apprentices Caleb Hinkle and Nathaniel McCoy, the local's newest members sworn in earlier this month.

Today we celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King's lifelong work to protect the rights and end injustices for all Americans.
