marks a decisive moment for people and planet. At COP30, we will
press world leaders to deliver climate justice now, with bold commitments to a
Just Transition that secures jobs, rights and social protection for all. There can
be no climate justice without labour rights.
At the Second World Summit
for Social Development, we are calling on governments to
tackle inequality through strong social protection systems, living wages, decent
work policies and respect for trade union rights.
G20
summits
The G20
Social Summit and Leaders’ Summit in South Africa must prioritise a
new social contract. Through the L20, the
ITUC will be there demanding that G20 governments take real action on
inequality, Just Transition and corporate accountability.
16 Days
of Activism
From 25
November, trade unions globally will begin 16 Days of Activism, urging the
ratification and implementation of ILO Convention 190 (C190)
and Recommendation 206 (R206)
to eliminate gender-based violence in the workplace.
