The More You Know...

Election Day is just around the corner and early voting has begun. Click the link and enter your address to see the bipartisan list of federal, state and local candidates we are endorsing in your area. Our endorsements are based on candidates’ positions on Davis Bacon, Right-to-Work, prevailing wage and other carpenter economics issues critical to the long-term success of our union and the wages + benefits our members receive.

- Safe Crossing -

Union Carpenters working with Herlihy Mid-Continent are rebuilding this bridge on Geneva Road over the west branch of the DuPage River near Winfield, IL. This IDOT Infrastructure project will not only improve accessibility and safety but will also reduce overall congestion in the area. Best trained! Most Productive!

- In Good Hands -

America’s food supply is in good hands thanks to this USDA safety inspection lab getting built by Union Carpenters. Led by McCarthy Building Companies and located in the St. Louis suburb of Normandy, it’s one of three USDA labs in the country making sure our meat, poultry and egg supply stays healthy and safe to eat.

- Wellbeing -

Signatory Contractor IBC recently held its 2024 Health & Wellness Fair. The event promotes IBC's commitment to safety and the wellbeing of its team members. Our KC Reps were in attendance to speak with union members about their carpenter benefits and share news that the Carpenters Wellness Center in Kansas City is close to opening its doors.

- Help Needed -

A historic 1870 home in Florissant, MO needs our help. Sisters in the Brotherhood have generously organized a volunteer workday (Saturday Nov. 16) to repair fire damage and save Reeb House from demolition. Any and all helpers are encouraged to click above and pitch in!

Growing Interest: We're finding a lot of interested students at high school career fairs, like this one at Hazelwood East in St. Louis. Great pay and benefits, plus no college debt, practically sells itself !

Coming Soon: We were there when Illinois officials broke ground for the new Cahokia High School. The two-year, $81 million project will provide lots of valuable man-hours for Union Carpenters.

Lifetime Loyalty: Brother Randy Panke (Local 32) proudly shows off his honorary membership card for 50 years as a Union Carpenter. Thanks for the loyalty and friendship.
