To the Rescue

Union Carpenters and contractors are heroes in tornado ravaged North St. Louis, where there’s been an immediate need to get roofs tarped and homes boarded up. Thousands of buildings were hit last month in the EF-3 twister that has caused over $1 billion in damage. Many of our members are doing the heavy lifting, bringing their professional skills and equipment to save family homes and businesses that can still be salvaged. We thank all of them for showing our community that the Carpenters Union answers the call in times of crisis.

- Stars & Stripes -

Beautiful shot of Old Glory hanging from the bridge columns at the new $284 million Mississippi River bridge in Chester, Illinois. Our heavy highway members are hard at work on the new bridge, which is scheduled to open in 2026. God bless America.

- Game On -

We're bringing our A game to the rough carpentry at Ryan Field, Northwestern University’s new state-of-the-art football stadium. At 740,000 square feet, this will be the nation’s first NFL-style college stadium with improved sightlines and enhanced fan experience. Soon our members will be applying their expert training and unmatched productivity to the project’s finish carpentry. What an asset for Evanston and the greater metropolitan Chicago area this stadium will be. Can’t wait to see a game!

- Downtown KC -

Union Carpenters with McCown Gordon are working on a $120 million overhaul of Barney Allis Plaza in downtown Kansas City, MO. The block-sized park and underground garage were completely demolished last year. Now the heat is on to turn this massive hole in the ground into a new parking structure with a modern park on top. The goal is to have the project completed by next year in time for KCMO hosting the World Cup.

- Fast Growth -

Orchard Farm in St. Charles County, MO is the St. Louis area’s fastest growing school district. Enrollment is up 21% thanks to hundreds of new homes, and that means a lot more kids. Carpenters with TJ Wies and Titan will have this new elementary school ready to open next summer…next door to the new high school we built…across the street from a new subdivision we also built!
