- Elite Flooring -

Flooring Installers Local 1185 hosted a Protect-All Flooring special training for signatory contractor Contract Flooring Service. It's always great when we can get vendors and contractors working together to provide members with hands-on training to stay ahead of latest developments in the industry.

- Building Boom -

A new AdventHealth Hospital is being built in Lenexa, Kansas. Union Carpenters working for multiple signatory contractors are performing the full carpenter package on this state-of-the-art facility. As suburbs in the KC Metro continue to boom with growth, that means even more work for our members. Great job, Brothers and Sisters!

- Vroom -

We’re in fast gear on this Gerber Collision auto shop coming to St. Charles, MO. Union Carpenters with ABG Construction, the George Weis Co. and Gittemeier Foundations are taking advantage of some unseasonably good weather to speed this job to the finish line.

- Reel 'Em In -

The Carpenters Bass Tournament is back again - April 26. Mark your calendar and get your boat registered by calling the hall at (314) 644-4800

Gratitude: During our council Christmas parties this year we honored some longtime members. Alfred Moureau of Local 97 has been a loyal brother to the Carpenters Union for a remarkable 75 years! Sincere gratitude to all who laid the foundation we build on today.

Do You Know Mass Timber?

Mass Timber is expected to start making an impact in the St. Louis market soon. A lot of work - and many man-hours - will be coming our way, but only if our members are properly trained on this emerging sector of our industry.

To ensure readiness, members should begin preparing by completing the following essential training qualifications and certifications: MEWP / Rough Terrain / Signaling / Rigging Awareness / Rigging Qualification (recommended for lead persons) / Mass Timber Training.

Visit the St. Louis campus training page. For any questions or to enroll, please contact Ed Doyle at 314-457-8300.

Calling All Sisters: Join us Saturday, Jan. 18 in Florissant, MO as we continue our work to save the historic Reeb House. Click here for info, or call Abby Martin (636) 669-8927
