Namami Gange Programme launched in 2014.
“Namami Gange Programme, is an Integrated Conservation Mission, approved as ‘Flagship Programme’ by the Union Government in June 2014 with budget outlay of Rs.20,000 Crore to accomplish the twin objectives of effective abatement of pollution, conservation and rejuvenation of National River Ganga.”

The budget for the Namami Gange Mission-II is ₹22,500 crore from 2023–2026. This budget includes ₹11,225 crore for existing liabilities and ₹11,275 crore for new projects.

Why industrial and domestic waste from flowing into the river not stopped as yet. Why not fix all the STPs that are not functioning efficiently?

As of 31st December 2022, atleast  of Rs. 32,912.40 spent but no results in sight.

Where did the money go?
