Dear All,

We have Ganeti cluster with KVM hypervisor.

Now we need to monitor VMs and nodes performance matrices and graph those, like CPU, RAM, DISK I/O ,Network utilization, Disk space etc.
And we want to monitor our VM performance matrices from KVM without installing any agent in VM. I found some people are using Ganglia + sflow with KVM to achieve such goal.
Any body here used this kind of setup with Ganeti clusters?

Please shed your experience and thoughts.

With Thanks

Foysal.

Hi!

You might want to have a look at the monitoring daemon for the non-KVM-specific signals to monitor.
http://docs.ganeti.org/ganeti/2.12/html/admin.html#monitoring-the-cluster

However, this does not include KVM-specific data (yet), so additional systems might be necessary.

As for Ganglia + sflow, we (from Google) don't have experience with that in context of Ganeti, so I hope somebody else on the list can add his/her experience here.

Cheers,
Helga
