GanetiCon @ FrOSCon

Dear all,

it is a long time ago that there was a GanetiCon. Since COVID is in a
state that physical meetings are possible again, I think it could be a
good time meet up again.
As you may know I am part of the FrOSCon (Free and Open Source Software
Conference) [1] Organisation Team. The conference takes place in St.
Augustin (near Cologne, Germany) on August 20th and 21st.

Hence I was wondering whether we could have a GanetiCon as subconference
at FrOSCon.

Sadly, I'll not be able to organize a GanetiCon (because of my duties at
FrOSCon), but I will support you as good as I can.

That sounds like a great idea. However, I would only be able to attend on the 21st, if at all :-(

As stated above, I would only be able to attend on Sunday, but I can help organise stuff. Are there specific requirements for subconferences or a process for applying etc?

That's a pity, that you may not join-in, but great that you want to organize it.

Yes, best would be, if you submit a proposal to our Call for Projects https://www.froscon.org/cfp/cfprojects/
Probably, it makes sense to write a mail to proj...@froscon.org, too.
Because a subconference could be a bit more effort.

Hi Rikus,

thank you very much for taking the initiative. It's a great idea to have a
GanetiCon @froscon in 2022.

Therefor I'm planning to attend both days and will also help organizing in
coordination with Rudi (CfP, announcement, ganeticon web site, etc.)

Most likely I'll come back to you with further questions.
