Ganeti 3.1.0-rc2 Release

Hey Everyone,

we are happy to announce the release of Ganeti 3.1.0-rc2! [1]

Please check the NEWS file for a list of changes since the Ganeti 3.0 release. We would like to ask you all to spin up test clusters or update your test environments and report any problems you might encounter. If everything looks good, we will proceed to release 3.1.0 stable soon!

Thank you especially to all new but of course also to all recurring contributors which have made this release possible.

If you are curious what happened to -rc1: it has been tagged on the git repository, but we did encounter some breakage in the release scripts and had to fix that afterwards.

On a sidenote, -rc1 has just made it into Debian Testing while -rc2 is in the upload queue for Debian Unstable, so you could even use that for testing instead of building Ganeti by yourself :-)

Hi,

thanks for your hard work. Anything huge still open? I saw some recent commits coming but no open issues for the milestone and the rc2 begin 2 months ago.

Looking forward to a 3.1.0 - a huge step imho.
