Love the whole badge system, really gives an extra level of encouragement and aspiration.
Please post these emails in kilograms and kilometres, the old measurements are no longer relevant in the modern world.
Really looking forward to the new Fitbit smartwatch too, need to upgrade my Surge.
Could there be more floor badges added as I completed Satellite a long time ago and approaching 50,000 floors and would like to aim for the Moon, however realize that this is likely to be 126,139,200 floors. (based on floor being 10ft and Moon 238,900 miles away). Maybe a radial pie chart around the badge would allow you to see how close you are at achieving it with % completed
More badges are long overdue. I sure hope someone is going to create more dynamic and creative badges that get updated more regularly. Half this list excludes some the trackers bc of the lack of the stair tracking.
Thank you for defining the badges. I really appreciate having a specific goal to attain. I love my Fitbit!!!!!! I thought 12,000 steps in one day was a real achievement. I had no idea that people step tens of thousands times more than that in one day. Good to know! Something else to try for reach for. Again, thanks!
No swimming badges; is, 14 miles around Amelia Island, Florida, 90 miles from key west, Florida to Cuba; 124 miles across Gulf of Bahia, Mexico; and so on around the world (Long Island Sound, Straits of Juan De Fuchia, WA., English Channel, Baltic Sea, Mediterranean, et.). Us swimmers are feeling left out.
I upgraded to a newer model that has better features, except that my history of badges and competition has not come with it as yet since I do not know how to update that feature, if it is available. Any help out there?
Thanks for the details provided and your efforts while working on this. Let me confirm with you that the Russian Railway badge has been removed from the list. I'm sorry if this causes any inconvenience and appreciate your feedback. Please note this list is still our most current and up to date badges list.
I understand how motivating is to earn badges and trophies when reaching your goals. For this reason, I'd encourage you to visit our Feature Suggestions board and share this idea about adding a new distance badge. That way, our developers can take it into consideration and track its demand over time. To learn more about this board, see our FAQs.
@LizzyFitbit The linked Blog article is dated 2017, with no mention of any edit. It is customary to note when articles are updated and edited. I also want to point out that the Russia Railway badge was removed from my badge collection. I earned it three years ago.
I have noticed this too. At my Job, we have a group of freinds who track each others badges each month to congratulate anyone who has accomplished a new badge (been a freindly vs. competitive tradition since 2015). I have noticed both Russian Railway has been removed, but so has Africa. People who had once had them, now show a lower level badge vs. their last completed one. I don't agree with removing Russian Railway or Africa, but I do get why Russian Railway was removed? What's the political reason for removing Africa. They don't show in my list any longer either (I am on Earth). I have followed other threads where people have begged for more badges, hundreds of new ideas presented...only thing added in the past couple years is those Minion badges. Rather than adding new ones, they are removing old ones. They once had a Hawaii badge too. For what its worth...if any Fitbit reps are monitoring this...I would like to pursuade them to add back the old badges plus new ones to hit. Many of our group already have Satellite and Pole to Pole, and don't take away the existing ones.
@gotta_go I don't think the Africa badge was removed for political reasons. The Africa badge has been problematic because of racist tropes. It was redesigned several years ago and complaints persisted. As for the Hawaii badge, there is a little different story. Metric distance users get the Hawaii badge. If you change your distance to kilometers, the badge appears. Go back to miles and it's gone.
there are plenty people who have exceeded my mileage. I have had a fitbit for 2 years, but have used a GPS to count my miles. With a fitbit watch my mileage would have 20-30 percent more. My wife and I just enjoy walking.
Well, once you've reached your Pole to Pole award you can always set your own award. Like, "When I get to 16,000 miles that will be my Hawaii Award (for example) and I will go to Hawaii for a month!" I just completed my Pole to Pole award this morning after 3.25 years of using my fitbit. I've often wondered if there should be a Pole to Pole club or a way of knowing how many others have achieved their PTP award?
@kaffs Thanks for noticing this. Your post made me look at my badge collection. Mine are gone, too. I'm not a Fitbit employee, but this suggests that Fitbit ended its relationship with Illumination Entertainment or Universal Pictures. Parents noticed that the Minions clock face disappeared for the Ace 3 a little while ago. The Minions Ace 3 special edition is gone from the Fitbit Store, too.
Thanks for joining this thread and sharing your thoughts about this situation. As mentioned before, let me explain that the Minion badges are no longer available and for this reason, they won't appear listed in the badges list.
Badges reward your step-based activities, floors climbed, and weight goals. Note that while we work on new ways to reward cycling achievements, the distance earned by tracking your bike rides with your Fitbit device doesn't count toward your lifetime distance badges or other step-based badges.
Step and floor badges are only earned while you wear your Fitbit device, meaning manually logged activities do not count toward step badges. Weight goal badges are earned for data automatically transferred from a Fitbit Aria or Fitbit Aria 2 scale and any weights you log manually.
Badges are designed to reward your step-based activities that are recorded while you wear your Fitbit device. Manually logged activities are intended to help you track activities that are based on effort rather than steps or distance, so they don't count toward step badges.
It's important to note that manually logged activities do not count toward Fitbit Badges, though. You earn these automatically just by wearing your Fitbit day to day. The weight-based badges, however, can only be earned by automatically syncing data over from the Fitbit Aria or Fitbit Aria 2 smart scales.
You can then click on 'Badges and Trophies' to take a look at what you've earned. You can then see a list of your top badges first and can scroll down to see more daily and lifetime badges you've snapped up.
Fitbit has said there are over 100 badges in total to unlock. It said that back in 2017, so that collection has grown since then. The company, every once in a while, will introduce more Badges for you to earn, so don't be surprised if you see something new pop up too.
As previously mentioned, these Badges are split into four categories. There are daily step goals, which are measured in steps, there are lifetime step goals, which are measured in miles, daily stair climb goals and lifetime climb goals. Finally, there are weight loss, challenge, and adventure badges.
The daily step badges start at 5,000 steps and go all the way up to 100,000 steps - which will take some doing. The lifetime distance badges start at 26 miles and go up to 12,430 miles. The daily floor badges start at 10 floors and go up to 700 floors. The lifetime floor badges start at 500 floors and go up to 35,000. Finally, the weight loss badges start with setting a weight loss goal and go up to losing 200lbs.
