The Scan-from-Operation-Panel Settings screen appears. You can select up to three scanners and printers in total for scanning from the operation panel. You can scan items using the operation panel of the selected scanner or printer, and send the scanned images to your computer over a network.
I'm using Windows 10 (OS build 18362.535). I know there's a scan utility called "Canon MF network Scanner Selector" that I'm supposed to use for scanning, but when I select it to open it in the Start menu, there's no response. It's not opening.
I hope other people avoid my frustration and difficulty by making sure to download (from the links above) not just the driver executable but also the scanning software executable. Not sure why these are two separate downloads (executables), especially since the driver executable installs scanner drivers (or gives the option to do so). Having a single download that installs drivers and asks you if you want to install scanning software would streamline the process for people setting up their printer for the first time and avoid the mistake I made. Also, why have the program "MF Network Scanner Selector" show up in the Windows start menu? Even today, with my scanner working, selecting this program from the Start menu does not open anything. This is very confusing - why have it listed in Start Menu if there's no response if you select it?. Just a couple suggestion for Canon's software team.
The IJ scanner selector is not the main scanner software for the Image CLASS series. If you only have the option for the Network scan utility, it will mean the MF Scan utility is missing and you will need that to perform scans. You can download the MF Scan Utility for the MF264dw using the link provided HERE. You can locate it under the tab for software and it will be the first one in the list.
While IJ Network Scanner Selector EX is enabled, it periodically checks whether it can communicate with the printer over the network. When you use the computer in a network environment other than the one used to set up the printer, disable IJ Network Scanner Selector EX.
If (Enabled) doesn't display in the notification area of the taskbar, from the Start menu, select All Programs > Canon Utilities > IJ Network Scanner Selector EX > IJ Network Scanner Selector EX.
Okay so, I managed to stump Canon tier three support and they recommended I contact Microsoft support who refused to help without me paying them $99.
I have a Canon MX922 multifunction that worked flawlessly with Windows 8 however, after upgrading (with a clean install) to Windows 8.1, I can not get the drivers to fully install.
When running the install package (mast-win-mx920-1_0-ucd.exe) I get no errors however, the IJ Network Scanner Selector EX is not getting installed (this is needed to scan across the network). I extracted that install package (\mast-win-mx920-1_0-ucd.exe\mast-win-mx920-1_0-ucd\win\Driver\LANUTIL\SELECTOR\) from the main install package and tried to run it and received the following error: "An error occurred while files were being copied." and then the install fails.
Before calling Canon, I tried installing both the main install package as well as the IJ Network Scanner Selector EX package in a clean boot state and received the same results.
The only thing Canon could come up with was to copy 'usbscan.sys' to C:\, C:\Windows\System32\drivers and C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository and to try again.
Anyone have any ideas?

When I tried to open my IJ Scan Utility on my PIXMA TS6320, I got the message that the Network Scanner EX2 could not be found, along with error 3,208,0. I know that both EX2 and the IJ scanner are installed on my computer, but when I open EX2, it recognizes no scanner at all. I've followed every troubleshooting guide and instruction in Support and cannot manage to reinstall EX2. I downloaded the MP drivers (I think...tried to, anyway). I've been using this IJ scanner on this printer connected to this computer for years. Now this. I hope someone can help. Thanks.

I have a computer running Windows Server 2019 standard.
