Ladies,
Last night I was honored to be in attendance at the North High School Vikings of Distinction Banquet at the Field Club. Five outstanding North Alumnae, including our own Babs Weinberg, were recognized for their many life achievements.
Babs and members of Pi Chapter initiated Delta Gamma Chapter at UNO when we were installed in 1970. Throughout the years Babs has served Gamma Phi Beta tirelessly and we are all grateful for her service to the Sorority. I am honored to call her my friend.
FRIEND OF NORTH HIGH

VIKING OF DISTINCTION
BABS HANSEN WEINBERG

"Babs Weinberg continues to lead in her community as a leader in high school and college and as a teacher. She was a special education teacher for the Omaha Public Schools for 31 years. She served in leadership roles in her profession, her sorority, and many community organizations on the local and national levels. After retiring in 2003, she served on numerous boards where her leadership benefited the community, particularly children. Babs has said she didn’t retire; she re-fired! In 2007, she joined the Vikings of Distinction Committee, becoming chairman from 2010 to 2014. She served as president of the Omaha North High School Foundation from 2014 to 2020. Babs is being honored for her longtime commitment and service to North High."
Congratulations, Babs!
Theresa
