Hi Frank,
I've been following your development on Hyperborean Mice over on
rpg.net(you might remember I did a GM annotated version of your map)
and it's a
great game.
They just use pdfs, so what you already have is about 95% there. The only
thing to be aware of are the margins, which vary depending on the book
format you prefer (and which in turn is somewhat dependant on page numbers).
You upload the cover art separately, for example as jpegs. There are various
ways of doing it depending on what you're trying to achieve (if you want it
to wrap across the spine and such), but it's all explained at lulu. You can
keep a project private and do a test print for yourself and then make it
public when you are satisfied it's ready for other people to see. So there
is really no reason not to start experimenting. Doing a test copy for
yourself is fairly reasonably priced too since you only pay a few pounds for
the print cost plus the shipping. Just remember that print + shipping times
vary greatly and can be several weeks so don't leave things to last minute.
I look forward to being able to order a printed copy of Hyperborean Mice!
