WG5 activities

Dear GameTable members,

WG 5 is starting a monthly webinar series focused on Dissemination, education and communication issues.

This series will provide a further opportunity for Game Table members to share their work and find areas of common interest.  

Using the WG2 webinar as a model, we would like to fill an hour every month. This means that your presentation could be 45 minutes (with 15 minutes for questions), or we can combine two 20-minute presentations. After the webinar, we will post the recording of your talk on the GameTable YouTube page (with your permission).

Once we have a sufficient number of responses, we will set up a schedule.

We are also planning to produce podcasts on game boards.

We have compiled a preliminary list of ancient artefacts kept in Greek museums, but we would like to invite each of you to suggest objects found in other countries and from different periods (whether known games or boards not associated with specific games; unidentified tables with cross-cultural affinities are also of interest). 

As part of our strategy to involve museum institutions, we would like to involve museum directors and staff in the realisation of the podcasts, inviting them to introduce the object they are exhibiting; but those of you who have expertise or have conducted studies on a game/board type can join in as well.
