We just launched our first Citizen Science project,
VerbCorner. For those not familiar with the concept, a Citizen Science project crowd-sources the the scientific process to do projects on a scale that couldn't be done by a single laboratory or even a network of laboratories (like tracking bird migration or cataloging all the galaxies in the visible universe).
In the VerbCorner project, we are trying to work out the meanings of verbs. Dictionaries have existed for centuries, so you might think this has already been done, but it hasn't. As an exercise, pick a random definition in the dictionary and then try to come up with an exception. It isn't hard!
At VerbCorner, you can participate in a series of tasks, for as little as a few minutes or for as long as you want, to help home in on the exact meaning of individual verbs. You can find the project at
