Who says dress ups are for girls? And why can't girls be ninjas?

Hi

We have our first app out.  MiniMonos.com is an Eco virtual world.  We have over1.5m users, and more than 1300 kids have submitted their own Eco-projects to us (projects they have done in the real world) and we give them virtual rewards.

We have seen a demand from boys for a dress-up app, and from girls who don't want pink and frills.  The clothes here also reflect us and our communities (braided do's and surf boards, soccer gear that is gender neutral and the most hipster moustache and beard combos).

We launched this weekend and have made it into the top 1000 in 18 countries.  Would you mind downloading (for free though there re iaps for additional clothing) and making a monkey?  Feedback very welcome.

Download here.

Thanks

Melissa

Hey there

We are not hiring at the moment, but things change!  We are moving more heavily into the apps space at the moment and could be looking for some cocos2d-x expertise.

We have a couple of our team in the US at moment and have learnt how to work as well as is possible scattered about the globe (I live in London, the studio is in NZ).

Do stay in touch with me.

M

PS I spent a good chunk of my childhood near you - in South Jersey.  I am a Rutgers grad :)  My parents are living in Haddonfield, I have a brother & a sister in Philly and assorted nieces and nephews.   I miss a good hoagie, and for some reason I miss Rolling Rock - tragic I know.

Hey there Melissa,
Do you happen to know if AlphaMonkey is currently hiring? I'm in the US so it may be a stretch.

Thanks Melissa,
Dan

Hey there

We use cocos2dx as we were all about Flash and the web until about ten minutes ago.

Apps are crowded, but we think we can build a community around a family of apps... who knows!!

We keep a watching eye on Unity, but for web 2d has been our choice so far, so all our vector art is 2d.

We do a bit of HTML5 - and will keep going with that but we don't see it as the thing to save us all!

we have just started to engage with Windows 8 and we can use Cocos2d for that too....

MiniMonos.com is a Virtual World we built around ideas of sustainability and generosity.  We built a community of 1.5m kids, but are finding the online space just too hard these days,

Best wishes

M
